📖REVIEW BY 🧑🏻🦰&🧔✨
🟠 We had never given marbles much thought. We had a few of them to toss around, but as a 90’s children, it wasn’t something everyone was crazy about. However, we are walking away from this book completely mesmerised by the vast world of the unknown hobby to us.
🔵 It is an easy enough read following the story of Sabrina, trying to locate her father, Fergus missing marbles and finding out there is a massive gap of her dad’s life that she knows nothing about. At the same time, Fergus, now suffering from the stroke narrates his own life and how he comes to be a man he is now. Sabrina sets out to find out about the dad she thought she knew, and it eventually becomes a journey of rediscovery about her own life as well as her dad’s.
🟡 Besides some flaws in the book, such as Sabrina doing all the work in a single day – something that sounds like a months expedition to us, this one hit us close to home. Being not wholly understood about our hobbies, personal life and choices we made, even by the closest people, is something we both could relate. Guess it’s just pure luck we found each other 🧑🏻🦰♥️🧔
