📖✨ REVIEW BY 🧔✨📖
🚑 It is always hard to write a review about a popular book. Simply because it is hard to say something that hasn’t been said before. Also, I rarely pick up books like “Silent Patient” from the shelf. Hipstery part of mine kicks in – it’s just another overhyped, oversaturated thriller with “unexpected twists”. Bleh.
🚑 And you know – I’m super happy I picked it up this time! Silent Patient is superbly written, with just the right amount of tenseness and mystery around it. And yes – the twist is coming, but it is actually unexpected. And unique. Theo is a psychotherapist who has issues of his own. Still, he is desperate to get a job at a psychiatric facility so he can work with Alicia, a patient who was found guilty some years earlier of killing her husband, Gabriel, by shooting him in the face five times. She has not spoken a word in the years since the murder and Theo is convinced he can help her.
🚑 Fantastic read and highly recommended to everyone.
