QOTD: What Easter traditions do you have? 🐇💕🌿🥚🐣

So, yesterday we have stayed up almost till midnight because we have been… colouring eggs! That’s right, no chocolate eggs for us on Easter Sunday! This is an ancient tradition from our home country, and we have very fond memories of it – colouring, decorating, trading, and eating colourful eggs on bright Sunday morning. Traditional Easter eggs are stained with natural dyes extracted from bark, leaves, fruit, and vegetables. However, nowadays, there are more accessible methods. We usually boil eggs wrapped in various small plants and submerge them in food colouring.
🐣
So, no matter what sort of eggs you have this morning (or no eggs at all!), we would like to wish everyone a very happy, bright and joyful Easter!
🐇
P.S And no Easter Bunny for us – we are typically visited by Easter Granny! 😂

  1. Ohh very beautiful! There is an old tradition of colouring Easter eggs in Russian to boil them with onion dry husk.

  2. Those eggs are beautiful! Happy Easter! We dyed eggs and met the Easter bunny yesterday and will do church today!
