📚🧔 My August Wrap Up 🧔📚
I’m finishing August with 8 read books in my pocket. I have to admit, the beginning of the month did not look great, but after a little sprint in the end, including the last book in a single day (and huge disappointment) I’m feeling quite good about it.
It was quite an eye-opening month for me. I learned a lot of new things about world issues I did not know about enough. For this, I’m thankful to Pachinko and American Dirt.
I’m also happy after reading The Marble Collector – it showed me a hobby I had no idea existed before.
The Time Travelers wife was another gem – being almost classic, it is very high on my list.
Silent Patient was an extremely good thriller. However, the memory of it will fade in a couple of months. Same applies to My Sister, the Serial Killer.
I thought my biggest disappointment would be The Immortalists. I have changed my mind after Elevation. I was heartbroken knowing Stephen King himself wrote that book. It was the worst thing I picked up since Cold Storage.
How was your August? Did you learn something new? 🤔
