📚 👩🏻🦰 I had great expectations for this book when I picked it up. The cover is stunning, the premises seemed great and everyone is hyping about it so much.
This is historical fiction book and wonderful tribute to Kentucky Pack Horse Librarians. The idea of travelling library and impact on people lives in rural areas is extremely interesting.
Unfortunately my main problem with this book was not grasping the right time period. My imagination failed on me and I was constantly picturing in my head way older times than 1930s -1940s. So every time anything modern was mentioned (for example a car or a phone) I was instantly confused.
Also it began quite in slow pace and it was hard for me to hold attention for long time. It got better in a second half of a book and I actually enjoyed a little bit of romance going on towards the end.
Overall this book taught me something new as I have never knew such travelling library existed and I am glad I have read it.
