April round up (how is it May?!). With lockdown easing and a small obsession with The Bold Type, I found it hard to read as much, but here they are.
1. English Passengers by Matthew Kneale – a brilliant piece of historical fiction about the colonisation of Australia and the horrific treatment of the natives; funny as it is informative. (See previous post)
2. Insatiable by @thedaisybee – a novel about a twenty-something who’s life can’t seem to get any worse but then she meets a couple who bring her into their world of glamorous houses and sex parties, but it is most definitely too good to be true.
3. Girl by @kenyahunt – a brilliant collection of essays about Black womanhood from raising boys in America to the power of the word ‘girl’ – loved it!
